About AMU Alumni Association UK

The Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association (UK) has been in existence since 1960s. The aims and objectives of the Association are:

  • to promote the welfare and progress of the Alumni in the United Kingdom.
  • to promote and propagate the educational ideals of the Aligarh Muslim University and its founder, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.
  • to render financial assistance to deserving students at Aligarh and elsewhere.
  • to promote and support educational, literary, social and cultural activities.
  • to promote equality, providing equal opportunities to all valuing diversity.

The AMU Alumni Association (UK) has organised cultural and social events and celebrates the Sir Syed Day every year bringing together the Alumni and members of the community from all walks of life and background. The association has contributed and raised funds for educational and charitable causes including natural disasters such as flooding, Tsunami and earthquake.
